MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />October 14, 1974 <br /> <br />The Adjourned Regular Meeting was called to order by Mayor <br />Jerry M. Patterson at 12:25 P.M. in Room 831 of the City Hall, <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, with the following Councilmen present: <br />J. Ogden Markel, John Garthe, Harry K. Yamamoto, Vernon S. <br />Evans, James E. Ward, Lorin Griset, and Mayor Jerry M. Patter- <br />son. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION At 12:25 P.M., Council <br /> recessed for an Execu- <br /> tive Session to consider <br /> appointments to Boards <br />and Commissions. Council reconvened at 1:50 P.M. with all <br />Councilmen present, and proceeded to the Council Chamber for <br />the conduct of the rest of the meeting. <br /> <br />Tae following Staff members took their positions in the Council <br />Chamber at 2:00 P.M.: Acting City Manager Tom Andrusky, City <br />Attorney James A. Withers, Director of Planning Charles C. <br />Zimmerman, Director of Public Works Ronald Wolford, Executive <br />Director of Redevelopment Richard Goblirsch, and Clerk of the <br />Council Florence I. Malone. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Invocation. (CA 80.17) <br /> <br />Following tke Pledge <br />of Allegiance to the <br />Flag, Councilman <br />Yamamoto gave the <br /> <br />RECESS At 2:13 P.M., Council <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY recessed for a Special <br /> Meeting of the Housing <br /> Authority. At 2:35 <br />P.M. Council reconvened, with the same Councilmen present. <br /> <br />RECESS <br /> <br />A five-minute recess <br />was called, and Council <br />reconvened at 2:40 P.M. <br />with all members present. <br /> <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF A Citizens Paramedic <br />CITIZENS PARAMEDIC Advisory Committee, <br />ADVISORY COMMITTEE consisting of seven <br /> members, to study the <br />possibility and feasibility of implementing a new paramedic <br />unit in Santa Ana, and other alternate measures in lieu of <br />the addition of a paramedics unit, was established, and the <br />following members were appointed, on motion of Councilman <br />Evans, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto, and unanimously car- <br />ried: Mrs. William F. Wenke, Dr. Horace W. Leecing, Mike L. <br />Leyba, M. J. Mayer, Betty Jo Elliott, Michael Davis, and <br />Lynn H. Lende.
