The City Attorney responded that the other existing bill- <br />boards are legal non-conforming uses but that the subject <br />billboard was determined in a court action to be an illegal <br />new sign; and that the matter had been settled by the agree- <br />ment now under consideration for extension, which had allowed <br />the sign to remain for a limited specific period of time. (CA <br /> <br />CITIZENS CRIME <br />PREVENTION COMMISSION <br />INTERIM REPORT <br /> <br />mission, in accordance with the City <br /> <br />Council received the <br />report dated December 5, <br />1974, from the Citizens <br />Crime Prevention Com- <br />Council instruction. <br /> <br />The report stated that the Commission is generally agreed <br />that the concept of team policing is impressive as a crime <br />prevention technique; and that the Commission plans to <br />analyze staffing costs, ethnic composition of the department, <br />community relations in general and Federal Program funding <br />'areas. The Commission's final report is scheduled for January <br />30, 1975. <br /> <br />The report was received and filed and the Commission was <br />commended for its diligent efforts on behalf of the citizens, <br />on the unanimously approved (5-0) motion of Councilman Yamamoto, <br />seconded by Councilman Markel.
