Our approved budget is $29,900 as outlined in our Aprìl 14, 2004 proposal to the <br />City. In the process of completing the design, the City has requested Tetra Tech to perform two <br />additional items of work. By this correspondence, we are requesting an increase in the budget <br />authorization to compensate us for these additional items of work. <br /> <br />Addition of Jib Crane and Hoist <br /> <br />The City has requested the addition ofajib crane and electric chain hoist at the balcony level. The <br />jib crane and electric chain hoist will assist the City in lifting equipment from the ground to the <br />balcony. Tetra Tech is requesting $4,000 to modify the design to include the crane and hoist <br />equipment. <br /> <br />Revise Safety Climb Device <br /> <br />Our previous construction plans included replacement of the existing retractable safety climb with a <br />new Saf-T-Climb device. Based on our last review meeting, the City has now requested a new <br />safety climb device similar to the existing one. However, the City wants the landings at the catwalk <br />and balcony to be revised to allow for the removal of the safety climb attachment to the side of the <br />ladder opening for safety reasons. Tetra Tech is requesting $3,300 to modify the catwalk and <br />balcony landings to relocate the fall limiter supports. <br /> <br />Additional Construction Support <br /> <br />In order to provide construction support (shop drawing and field review) for the above additional <br />items of work, Tetra Tech estimates an additional $2,700 will be required. <br /> <br />16241 Laguna Canyon Road, Suite 200.
