<br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />City of Santa Ana <br />Household Hazardous Waste Program <br /> <br />Curbside proposes to accomplish the following tasks for the City of Santa Ana to comply <br />with the Household Hazardous Waste Grant provided to the City by the California <br />Integrated Waste Management Board. <br /> <br />Curbside will collect typical household hazardous waste from homes at a maximum of 60 <br />events scheduled at various times during the term of the grant in neighborhoods <br />throughout the City. A minimum of one vehicle and two staff members will be present at <br />each event Advertising of the event will be restricted to the neighborhood association <br />area. A listing of acceptable and unacceptable wastes is attached to this scope of work, <br /> <br />The fee of $3,333.33 per event includes the following: <br /> <br />1. Work with Staff to determine the location of the event <br />2. Develop a brochure to promote and advertise program if requested by City. <br />3, Set up the vehicle and containment area before the event <br />4. Accept the waste <br />5, Provide door to door pickup for homebound and elderly residents. <br />6. Package the waste for transport <br />7. Clear the site <br />8. Recycle the waste <br />9. Deliver a report at the end of each month for each event held during the month <br />10. Prepare a monthly evaluation <br /> <br />Excluded from the above fee is commercial waste, any waste items in containers of <br />greater than five gallons, business waste, unacceptable waste, unusually large <br />quantities of waste and waste from homes not in the generally designated area. <br /> <br />Residents with 55 gallon drums of used oil can pay Curbside to remove the waste. <br />Residents with business waste can pay Curbside to accept their waste. <br /> <br />Effective with State funding through SB20 (originally expected in October 2004, <br />postponed to February 2005), TV's and computer monitors will be accepted at no <br />additional charge to the residents or the City. Prior to the effective date of the program, <br />TV's and monitors can be accepted from residents per the attached fee schedule. <br /> <br />Household hazardous waste will be collected and managed in accordance with State <br />and Federal law. A receipt will be prepared for each participant The City will receive a <br />copy of each receipt Waste will be transported to Curbside's facility in Garden Grove <br />and shipped from there on manifests and/or bills of lading to facilities permitted to <br />process the waste. <br /> <br />Exhibit A <br />
