The state may perform periodic reviews of the grant recipient's grant performance, including on-site visits, These reviews may include, but are not limited to: . Comparing actual grant activities to those approved on the Projèct Narrative and Budget Worksheet. Confirming compliance with: - Grant Assurances; - Information provided on the performance reports; - Urban Area Homeland Security Strategies; and, - Transit Security and Emergency Preparedness Plans, . Record retention requirements differ for property records VS, all other grant records, Refer to the following for specific requirements: . Title 28, CFR, Part 66.42 DOJ Financial Guide, Part III, Chapters 6 and 12 . In the Grant Closeout letter, the state will notify the grant recipient of the start of the record retention period for grant related records.
