RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT The Council received <br />FOR CITY EMPLOYEES and filed the <br /> Resolution of the <br /> Personnel Board <br />recommending no change in existing residency requirements <br />on motion of Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman <br />Ward, and unanimously approvod (7-0). Councilman Ward <br />expressed the view that loyalty of City employees would <br />be appreciated when there are City issues to support. <br />Councilmen Bricken, Markel and Ward agreed that it would <br />be helpful if Department Heads of the City were City <br />residents. Mayor Evans concluded the discussion by point- <br />ing out that it is the City's responsibility to make the <br />City of Santa Aha attractive enough to draw the residency <br />and support of employees. CA <br /> <br />5O <br /> <br />APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE The Council set a <br />OF CONVENIENCE & NECESSITY public hearing for <br />CONVA-CARE COMPANY January 20, 1975, <br /> at 7:30 P.M. to <br />consider the Hearing Officer's recommendation regarding <br />the application filed by Jeffrey S. Levinson dba Conva~ <br />Care Company, to operate one ambulance in the City, and <br />instructed the Clerk to notify all interested persons in <br />accordance with Section 38-?b of the Municipal Code, on <br />motion of Councilman Bricken, seconded by Councilman Yama- <br />moto, and unanimously carried C?-0i. Mr. Charbonneau agreed to return at ?:30 P.M. to <br />make his presentation. <br /> <br />FENCING OF AT&SF RAILWAY The Council authorized <br />RIGHT OF WAY AT payment to the Atcli~on <br />SANTIAGO PARK Topeka and ~anta <br /> Railroad the ~um <br /> share of the cost of fencing right of <br /> on motion of Councilman Ward, seconded <br /> and unanimously approved <br />Councilman Bricken asked staff to investigate the feasibility <br />of fencing the entire right of way along Lincoln Beuleva~d, <br />south of the trestle.
