On motion by <br />Councilman Griset, seconded by Councilman Ward, Council sup- <br />ported (6-0) the position of the Metropolitan Transportation <br />Engineering Board regarding Federal Noise Standards and <br />Regulations and directed staff to advise the proper agencies <br />and authorities of this support; and deleted from the Council <br />Referral Summary Item No. 167. CA 145.4 <br /> <br />Councilman Bricken returned to the Council Chamber. <br /> <br />ELECTION OF ORANGE COUNTY On motion by Council- <br />TRANSIT DISTRICT MEMBERS man ~ard, seconded by <br />REFERRAL ITEM NO. 173 Councilman Yamamoto, <br /> the Council authorized <br />the Mayor and the delegate to Orange County League of Cities to <br />express the Council's position in support of the existing <br />appointive-elective membership form of the Board of the Orange <br />County Transit District. Councilman Markel dissented.
