Reject the bid from Fairway Ford as nonresponsive to the <br />specification. <br /> <br />2 . Award a contract to Maurice J. Sopp and Son for the purchase of <br />three trucks with utility bodies in the amount of $89,543.48. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />The Fleet Maintenance Division's annual Equipment Replacement Program <br />is included in the City's annual budget, and identifies vehicles <br />scheduled for replacement. Funding is monitored through a depreciation <br />schedule established with each department. <br /> <br />various City departments utilize midsize pickup trucks with utility <br />bodies to perform routine business. The Public Works Agency's Roadway <br />Cleaning crews and Sewer Services crews use trucks with utility bodies <br />to secure and transport tools and equipment to the job sites. Due to <br />age, mileage in excess of 85,000 miles, and general condition, two 1995 <br />Chevrolet trucks and one 1996 Chevrolet truck have been approved for <br />replacement in the current fiscal year. <br /> <br />The notice inviting bids was advertised on December 8 and 10, <br />bids were solicited.
