RESOLUTION 75-37 A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />ELECTION RESULTS CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> STATING AND DECLARING <br />THE RESULTS OF THE CANVASS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELEC- <br />TION HELD IN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA ON APRIL 1, <br />1975 was read by title only, and full reading was waived, <br />on the unanimously approved (?-0) motion of Councilman <br />Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman Bricken. The Resolution <br />was adopted on motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by <br />Councilman Ward on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Yamamoto, Ward, Markel, Bricken, Evans, <br /> Garthe, Griset <br /> <br />NOES: None <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CA 68 <br /> <br />INSTALLATION OF <br />NEWLY ELECTED COUNCILMEN <br /> <br />Certificates of Election to Councilmen <br />Brandt and Ortiz. <br /> <br />The Clerk of the <br />Council administered <br />the Oath of Office, <br />and presented <br />Bricken, Evans, <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT The Mayor announced <br />SINE DIE adjournment sine <br /> die, and requested <br /> the Clerk of the <br />Council to preside during the initial proceedings for <br />reorganization of the Council. <br /> <br />REORGANIZATION OF The Clerk of the <br />COUNCIL Council called for <br /> nominations for <br /> Mayor. Councilman <br />John Garthe was nominated for the office of Mayor and as <br />Director to Sanitation Districts 1 and 7, and Alternate to <br />Districts 2 and 3, on motion of Councilman Evans, seconded <br />by Councilman Ortizo <br /> <br />There were no further nominations, and they were closed on <br />motion of Councilman Evans, seconded by Councilman Ortiz. <br /> <br />Councilman John Garthe was elected Mayor of the City of <br />Santa Ana on the following roll call vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Evans, Ortiz, Bricken, Ward, Brandt <br /> <br />NOES: Garthe, Yamamoto <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CA 8O <br />CA 80.1 <br /> <br />The Clerk returned the Chair to Mayor Garthe. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />128 <br /> <br />APRIL 8, 1975 <br /> <br /> <br />
