<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Lss01/06/05 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-001 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND <br />CHIEF OF POLICE TO EXECUTE A GRANT AWARD <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF <br />TRAFFIC SAFETY <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and <br />declares as follows: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />The Santa Ana Police Department has been selected to receive a grant <br />from the California Office of Traffic Safety in the amount of $89,944.00. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Grant funding will allow the Police Department to conduct a 21-day <br />enforcement operation specifically targeting seatbelt violations during the <br />national "Click It or Ticket" seat belt compliance campaign. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Council authorizes the City Manager and the Chief of Police, <br />or their designee(s), to execute a grant award agreement with the California Office of <br />Traffic Safety in the amount of $89,944.00. <br /> <br />Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by <br />the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting <br />this Resolution. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 18th day of Januarv. 2005. <br /> <br /> <br />;; <br />..~ <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2005-001 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
