' <br /> <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />, , <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 74-4 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING <br />SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FOR A LOW-RENT <br />HOUSING PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States Housing Act of 1937 provides that there shall <br />be local determination of the need for low-rent housing to meet needs not being <br />adequately met by private enterprise; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under the provisions of the United States Housing Act <br />Secretary of Housing and Urban Development is authorized to provide <br />assistance to public housing agencies for low-cut housing; <br /> <br />of 1937, the <br />financial <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br />l. That the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana hereby determines <br />that within its area of operation there is a need for low-rent housing to meet <br />needs not being adequately met by private enterprise. <br /> <br />2. That the Executive Director <br />shall sign and send to the Secretary <br />cation for financial assistance for <br /> <br />shall cause to be prepared and the Chairman <br />of Housing and Urban Development an appli- <br /> <br />(l) <br /> <br />200 dwelling units of low-rent public housing to be <br />provided by new construction, or by acquisition, or <br />by acquisition and rehabilitation of existing housing. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />by leasing privately <br />the United States <br /> <br />300 dwelling units to be provided <br />owned housing under Section 23 of <br />Housing Act of 1937. <br /> <br />3.
