Speakers in opposition to the issuance of the variance were: <br /> <br />J. Ogden Markel, 1814 South Parton; and <br /> <br />Charles Kaeser, 1617 South Parton <br /> <br />Those in opposition stated that there was insufficient park- <br />ing available on the property for a dental lab; that the <br />parking spaces proposed by the applicant on the east side <br />of the building were inaccessible because the northerly <br />approach on Van Ness was to be closed; that parking was al- <br />ready a problem in the area because of the patrons and staff <br />of the dental office building at 612 West Edinger; and that <br />18 neighbors had signed a petition opposing the variance <br />which had been filed with the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Dr. Hostetler, one of the applicants for the variance, spoke <br />in favor of the variance and said that there were only two <br />employees of the dental lab; that it was his intention to <br />improve the property and to serve the community in that <br />area; that the location is essential to proper function and <br />coordination between the laboratory and office; and that the <br />subject property will be bound to the property immediately <br />adjacent to provide nine parking stalls. <br /> <br />Dr. Hostetler filed letters of support from the following: <br /> <br />Mike Dymond, 1508 S. Parton; and <br /> <br />Wilber Campbell, 1512 S.
