<br /> <br />. <br /> <br />f <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br />,b' <br /> <br />""" <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />>, <br /> <br />$~- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />DMF:nr <br />2-1-78 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78- 9 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DISAPPROVING <br />IN ADVANCE THE PROVISION BY THE ORANGE <br />COUNTY HOUSING AUTHORITY OF LEASED <br />HOUSING TO PERSONS OF LOW INCOME WITHIN <br />THE AREA OF OPERATION OF THE SANTA ANA <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Housing Authorities Law, Chapter 1 of Part 2 <br />of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California, Sec- <br />tion 34200 et seq. provides for the creation and functioning <br />of housing authorities in the counties and cities throughout <br />the state; and the Orange County Housing Authority and the Santa <br />Ana Housing Authority have been created pursuant thereto; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Orange County Housing Authority has re- <br />quested authorization to administer a leased housing program for <br />persons of low income within the area of operation of the Santa <br />Ana Housing Authority; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 34312.5(b) of the Health and Safety <br />Code of the State of California authorizes a housing authority <br />to provide leased housing to persons of low income throughout <br />the county in which it operates, except that such leased housing <br />may not be provided within the area of operation of another autho- <br />rity if the local governing body of the other authority disapproves <br />in advance. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br />1. Pursuant to Section 34312.5 of the Health and <br />Safety Code of the State of California, the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana hereby disapproves in advance the provision <br />of leased housing by the Orange County Housing Authority to <br />persons of low income within the area of operation of the Housing <br />Authority of the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />2.
