<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />82-5 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION <br />OF AN APPLICATION TO THE UNITED STATES <br />DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT <br />FOR ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATES UNDER THE <br />"SECTION' 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR <br />EXISTING HOUSING, RENTAL REHABILITATION <br />DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM" <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Santa <br />Ana is authorized to administer the "Housing Assistance Program <br />for Section 8 Existing Housing, Rental Rehabilitation <br />Demonstration Program for the United States Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development ("BUD"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housing Authority of the <br />City of Santa Ana on August 27,1982 that thirty-five (35) <br />Section 8 certificates are available with the Rental <br />Rehabilitation Demonstration Program which would increase <br />the number of persons of low and moderate income who may be <br />assisted in their housing within the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the thirty-five (35) available Section 8 <br />certificates consist of five (5) for elderly persons, <br />twenty-six (26) small families, and four (4) for large <br />families as these terms are defined in Title 24 of Code of <br />Federal Regulations, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD requires the Housing Authority of <br />the City of Santa Ana to file its application for the <br />thirty-five (35) Section 8 certificates by September 10,1982. <br /> <br />NOW, THEPEFOPÆ, BE IT RESOLVED by the HOUSING <br />AUTHORITY of the City of Santa Ana as follows: <br /> <br />1. The Housing Authority of the City of Santa <br />Ana declares the submission of the application for the <br />thirty-five (35) Section 8 Existing Housing Certificates <br />by September 10,1982 to be an emergency matter. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />2. The submission of an application to the <br />United States Department of Housing and Urban Development <br />for thirty-five (35) additional Section 8 Existing Housing <br />Certificates is hereby approved. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
