<br />, , <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /><\ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 82-6 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION <br />TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND <br />URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATES <br />UNDER THE "SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br />FOR EXISTING HOUSING." <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of <br />Santa Ana is authorized to administer the "Housing Assistance <br />Program for Section 8 Existing Housing Program for the <br />United States Department of Housing and Urban Development <br />("HUD"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housing Authority of the <br />City of Santa Ana on August 27,1982 that fifty-three (53) <br />Section 8 certificates are available which would increase <br />the number of persons of low and moderate income who may be <br />assisted in their housing within the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the fifty-three (53) available Section 8 <br />certificates consist of fifteen (15) for elderly persons, <br />thirteen (13) for small families, and twenty-fi~e (25) for <br />large families as these terms are defined in Title 24 of the <br />Code of Federal Regul~tions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD requires the Housing Authority of the <br />City of Santa Ana to file its application for the fifty- <br />three (53) Section 8 certificates by September 10, 1982. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the HOUSING <br />AUTHORITY of the City of Santa Ana as follows: <br /> <br />1. The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana <br />declares the submission of the application for the fifty- <br />three (53) Section 8 Existing Housing certificates by <br />September 10,1982 to be an emergency matter. <br /> <br />2. The submission of an application to the United <br />States Department of Housing and Urban Development for fifty- <br />three (53) additional Section 8 Existing Housing certificates <br />is hereby approved. <br /> <br />3.
