<br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />DMF/fm <br />6/10/83 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 83-2 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICA- <br />TION TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING <br />AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATES <br />UNDER THE "SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br />FOR EXISTING HOUSING." <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of <br />Santa Ana is authorized to administer the "Housing Assistance <br />Program for Section 8 Existing -Housing Program for the United <br />States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD"); and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housing Authority of the <br />City of Santa Ana on June 2,1983 that Section 8 certificates <br />are available which would increase the number of persons of <br />low and moderate income who may be assisted in their housing <br />within the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the two hundred (200) Section 8 certificates <br />applied for consist of thirty (30) for elderly persons, seventy <br />(70) for small families, and one hundred (100) for large families <br />as these terms are defined in Title 24 of the Code of Federal <br />Regulations; and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD requires the Housing Authority of the <br />City of Santa Ana to file its application for the two hundred <br />(200) Section 8 certificates by June 13, 1983. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing <br />Authority of the City of Santa Ana as follows: <br /> <br />1. The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana <br />declares the submission of the application for the two hundred <br />(200) Section 8 Existing Housing certificates by June 13,1983 <br />to be an emergency matter. <br /> <br />2. The submission of an application to the United <br />States Department of Housing and Urban Development for two <br />hundred (200) additional Section 8 Existing Housing certificates <br />is hereby approved. <br /> <br />3.
