<br />" <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 83-4 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION <br />TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND <br />URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATES <br />UNDER THE "SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br />FOR EXISTING HOUSING, RENTAL REHABILITATION <br />DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM" <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of <br />Santa Ana is authorized to administer the "Housing Assistance <br />Program for Section 8 Existing Housing, Rental Rehabilitation <br />Demonstration Program for the united States Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development ("HUD"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housing Authority of the <br />City of Santa Ana on september 12,1983 that thirteen (13) <br />Section 8 certificates are available with the Rental Rehab- <br />ilitation Demonstration Program which would increase the <br />number of persons of low and moderate income who may be <br />assisted in their housing within the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the thirteen (13) available Section 8 <br />certificates consist of four (4) for small families, and <br />nine (9) for large families as these terms are defined in <br />Title 24 of Code of Federal Regulations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD requires the Housing Authority of the <br />City of Santa Ana to file its application for the thirteen <br />(13) Section 8 certificates by September 28,1983; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Advisory Commission of the <br />City of Santa Ana has approved the submission of said <br />application; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the HOUSING <br />AUTHORITY of the City of Santa Ana as follows: <br /> <br />1. The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana <br />declares the submission of the application for the thirteen <br />(13) Section 8 Existing Housing certificates by September <br />28,1983 to be an emergency matter. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />2. The submission of an application to the United <br />States Department of Housing and Urban Development for <br />thirteen (13) additional Section 8 Existing Housing <br />certificates is hereby ratified. <br /> <br />. <br />
