ORANGE COUNTY The recommendation of <br />TRANSIT DISTRICT the Transportation <br />HEADQUARTERS Advisory Commission dated <br /> October 9, 1975, to <br />support the location of the administrative office of the <br />Orange County Transit District in Santa Ana, and preferably <br />in the new Multi-Modal Transportation Terminal, was approved; <br />and the Mayor was authorized to write a letter to the Orange <br />County Transit District transmitting Council's recommendation <br />on the motion of Councilman Yamamoto, seconded by Councilman <br />Bricken, and carried (4-0). (Councilmen Evans and Brandt <br />were absent, and Councilman Ward abstained from voting because <br />of a conflict of interest.) CA 112.2 <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR REMOVAL OF The bus stop at 541 <br />BUS STOP AT 541 S RAITT South Raitt Street, <br />COUNCIL REFERRAL NO. 211 in front of the residence <br /> of Mr. Thurston Thompson, <br />was retained and staff was directed to express the City's <br />willingness to move the bus stop if a location can be found <br />where residents do not object; Council Referral Item #211 was <br />deleted from.bhe Summary, on the motion of Councilman Yamamoto, <br />seconded by Councilman Ward, and carried CS-O) unanimously. <br /> CA 84.4 <br /> <br />PAYMENT TO CONSULTANT The payment of $5,214.00 <br />PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES, INC. to Psychological Ser- <br /> vices, Inc., consultants <br /> for the City in <br />connection with LULAC litigation, as recommended by the City <br />Attorney in his request dated September 18, 1975, was authorized <br />on the motion of Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman <br />Yamamoto, and unanimously carried (SRO). CA 139 <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL The request of Lucretia <br />BRISTOL & ST. GERTRUDE Amodeo Dominguez <br /> for a traffic signal <br /> at Bristol Street and St. <br />Gertrude Place was denied, as recommended in the report of the <br />Public Works Department dated October 7, 1975, and staff was <br />directed to review the warrants for possible inclusion in the <br />annual Signal Priority List, on the motion of Councilman Ward, <br />seconded by Councilman Ortiz, and carried unanimously (5-0). <br /> CA 18.3 <br /> <br />BOARDS & COMMISSIONS The Biannual Attendance <br />BI-ANNUAL ATTENDANCE REPORTS Reports of the Boards <br /> and Commissions of the <br /> City of Santa Aha were <br />received and filed on the unanimously carried (5-0) motion of <br />Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto. CA 80.9 <br /> <br />Councilman Brandt returned to the Council meeting at 11:10 P.M. <br /> <br /> FIREWORKS BAN The proposed amendment <br /> REFERRAL ITEM #1S1 to the Municipal Code to <br /> prohibit the discharge <br /> of fireworks in the City <br />of Santa Ana was tabled pending passage of AB 227, which would <br />restore the right of local government to prohibit or regulate <br />by ordinance the use or discharge of fireworks, and Council <br />Referral Item #151 was deleted from the Summary, on motion of <br />Councilman Ortiz, seconded by Councilman Ward, and carried <br />(5-1), with Councilman Yamamoto dissenting.
