RESOLUTION 84-5 RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUB- MISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATES AND VOUCHERS UNDER THE "SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR EXISTING HOUSING, RENTAL REHABILITATION GRANT PROGRAM" . WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana is authorized to administer the "Housing Assis- tance Program for Section 8 Existing Housing, Rental Rehabilitation Grant Program" for the United States Depart- ment of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD"); and . WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana on August 15, 1984 that Section 8 certificates and vouchers are available with the Rental Rehabilitation Grant Program which would increase the number of persons of low and moderate income who may be assisted in their housing within the City of Santa Ana; and WHEREAS, HUD has made available twenty-three (23) Section 8 certificates and fourteen (14) Section 8 vouchers; and WHEREAS, HUD requires the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana to file its application for the thirty-seven (37) Section 8 certificates and vouchers by August 31, 1984. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana as follows: 1. The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana declares the submission of the application for the thirty- seven (37) Section 8 Existing Housing certificates and vouchers by August 31, 1984 to bean emergency matter. . 2. The submission of an application to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for thirty-seven (37) additional Section 8 Existing Housing certificates and vouchers' is hereby approved. .
