. . . . . . . DMF/fm 12/29/84 RESOLUTION NO. 85-1 RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF . AN APPLICATION TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATES UNDER THE "SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR EXISTING HOUSING." WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana is authorized to administer the "Housing Assistance Program for Sec- tion 8 Existing Housing Program" ,for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD"); and WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana on December 5, 1984 that Section 8 certificates are available which would increase the number of persons of low and moderate income who may be assisted in their housing within the City of Santa Ana; and WHEREAS, the two hundred (299) Section 8 certificates ap- plied for consist of thirty (39) for elderly persons, seventy (79) for small families, and one hundred (199) for large families as these terms are defined in Title 24 of the Code of Federal Regula- . , tlons; and " ~,. tÞo. WHEREAS, HUD requires the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana to file its application for the two hundred (299) Sec- tion 8 certificates by February 1, 1985. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana as follows: 1. The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana declares the submission of the application for the two hundred (299) Sec- tion 8 Existing Housing certificates by February 1, 1985 to be an emergency matter. 2.
