NTE:dlv 9-10-85 RESOLUTION NO. 85-17 RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICA- TION TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR ADDITIONAL HOUSING VOUCHERS UNDER THE "SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR EXISTING HOUSING." WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana is authorized to administer the "Housing Assistance Program for Section 8 Existing Housing Program for the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD"); and WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana on August 27, 1985 that Section 8 Housing Vouchers are available which would increase the number of persons of low and moderate income who may be assisted in their housing within the City of Santa Ana; and WHEREAS, the fifty (50) Section 8 Housing Vouchers are consistent with our Housing Assistance Plan (HAP); City of Section WHEREAS, HUD requires the Housing Authority of the Santa Ana to file its application for the fifty (50) 8 Housing Vouchers by September 5, 1985; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana as follows: 1- Ana declares (50) Section an emergency The Housing Authority of the City of Santa the submission of the application for the fifty 8 Housing Vouchers by September 5, 1985 to be matter. 2. The submission of an application to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for fifty (50) additional Section 8 Housing Vouchers is hereby approved. 3. The Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized and directed to take all necessary steps to file said application and to provide such information as may be required.
