CA 80.17 <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION - RADIO STATION Councilman Gordon <br />KFOX FOR PUBLIC INFORMATION Bricken presented <br />BROADCASTS a Proclamation to <br /> Mr. Darin Lane, <br />Public Affairs Director of Radio Station KFOX, commending <br />the station for its high level of news, entertainment, public <br />service and information and, in particular, for its public <br />information broadcasts designed to improve the understanding <br />of the Police Department by the citizens of the City of Santa <br />Ana. Mr. Lane accepted and stated that the station appre- <br />ciated acknowledgement of its effort to publicize the <br />great work the City is doing for the citizens. CA 46 <br /> <br />SPECIAL PRESENTATION <br />"SANTA ANA WINDS" <br /> <br />Santa Ana's well-known youth band <br />directed by Mr. Robert Ward. Mr. <br />was organized in 1971, is made up <br /> <br />The City Council and <br />the audience were <br />entertained with two <br />band selections by <br />"The Santa Ana Winds", <br />Ward stated that the band <br />of students between the <br /> <br />ages of 14 and 22 from various high schools and colleges; <br />that they have made numerous trips to appear in the United <br />States as well as Europe and Canada; that they plan to make <br />a trip back to Canada soon; and that they will appear on a <br />Christmas television show on November 30th.
