<br />. ~ <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />, . <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 88-3 <br /> <br />RESOLUTIbN OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE <br />UNITED STATES DEPAR'rMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN <br />DEVELOPMENT FOR ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATES UNDER THE <br />"SECTION 8 MODERATE REHABILITATION PROGRAM" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Housinq Authority of the City of Santa <br />Ana is authorized to administer the "Housinq Assistance proqram <br />for Section 8 Existinq Housinq" proqram for the united States <br />Department of Housinq and Urban Development ("HUD"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housinq Authority of the <br />City of Santa Ana on May 16, 1988 that additional section 8 <br />Moderate Rehabilitation certificates are available which would <br />increase the number of standard housinq units available to low <br />and moderate income persons, and increase the number of persons <br />of low and moderate income who may be assisted in their housing <br />within the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the available Section 8 Moderate <br />Rehabilitation certificates applied for consist of sixty <br />for small families, and forty (40) for larqe families as <br />terms are defined in Title 24 of the Code of Federal <br />Requlations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD requires the Housinq Authority of the <br />Santa Ana to file its application for the additional <br />8 Moderate Rehabilitation certificates by May 31, 1988. <br /> <br />(60) <br />these <br /> <br />City of <br />section <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the HOUSING <br />AUTHORITY of the City of Santa Ana as follows: <br /> <br />1. The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana <br />declares the submission of the application for the additional <br />section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation certificates by May 31, 1988 <br />to be an emerqency matter. <br /> <br />2. The submission of an application to the united <br />States Department of Housing and Urban Development for <br />additional Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation certificates is <br />hereby approved. <br /> <br />3. The Executive Director of the Housing Authority of <br />the City of Santa Ana is hereby author~zed and directed to take <br />all necessary steps to file said application and to provide such <br />additional information as may be required. <br /> <br />4. <br />authorized to <br />behalf of the <br /> <br />The Chairman of the Housinq Authority is hereby <br />execute the Annual contributions Contract on <br />Housinq Authority of the city of Santa Ana. <br />
