MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />December 15, 1975 <br /> <br />The Regular Meeting of the City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor John Garthe at 2:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, <br />22 Civic Center Plaza, with the following Council members <br />present: Gordon Bricken, David F. Ortiz, Harry K. Yamamoto, <br />Vernon S. Evans, David L. Brandt, James E. Ward, and Mayor <br />John Garthe. Also present were City Manager Bruce C. Spragg, <br />City Attorney Keith L. Cow, Director of Public Works Ronald <br />}folford, Senior Planner William Daugherty, Police Chief Ray- <br />mond C. Davis, and Clerk of the Council Florence I. Malone. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />man Ward. <br /> <br />Following the Pledge <br />of Allegiance to the <br />Flag, the Invocation <br />was given by Council- <br /> <br />RECESS At 2:02 P.M. Council <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY recessed to convene <br />REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY the Regular Meeting <br /> of the Housing <br />Authority; Council reconvened at 2:05 P.M. and immediately <br />recessed to convene the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the <br />Community Redevelopment Agency; Council reconvened at 2:13 <br />P.M. with all members present. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING Mayor Garthe announced <br />PROPOSED SALE that this was the time <br />SANTA ANA TOWERS SITE and place set for the <br /> public hearing by the <br />City Council on the proposed sale of the Santa Aha Towers <br />Site north of First Street between Ross and Birch Streets <br />by the Redevelopment Agency to National Housing Consultants, <br />Inc. He opened the public hearing, which was immediately <br />continued to 4:00 P.M., in order to combine it with the <br />Redevelopment Agency's public hearing on the Environmental <br />Impact Report, also scheduled for 4:00 P.M., on the unan- <br />imously approved (7-0) motion of Councilman Yamamoto, <br />seconded by Councilman Ortiz. CA 137.8 <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR The following items <br /> were removed from the <br /> Consent Calendar: <br /> Item 7 requested by <br />Councilman Ward; Item 11 requested by Councilman Bricken; <br />Items 3 A and 5 A requested by Mayor Garthe.
