The <br />notice will state the number of Section 8 Certificates and/or <br />Housinq Vouch~ needed and the approximate bedroom size. , <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />The PHA aqrees, upon notice by the Grantee of the projects <br />approved for Rental Rehabilitation assistance, to determine <br />the eligibility for Section 8 Certificates or Housinq <br />Vouchers of the families residinq in the projects to be <br />rehabilitated. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />The PHA aqrees to issue a housinq voucher to any eligible <br />applicant family that is foroed to vacate a unit because of <br />physical construction, housinq overcrowdinq, or a chanqe in <br />use of the unit as a result of rental rehabilitation <br />activities. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />The PHA may provide a selection preference to a family <br />whose rent would be greater thah, 30 percent of its <br />adjusted income as a result of rental rehabilitation <br />activities. The PHA must exercise this discretionary <br />authority in a manner that is consistent with its <br />oblig'ât:ions with ralÌpect to thé Federal preferences. <br />If the PHA provides a housinq voucher to a family who <br />falls within this cateqory but is not eliqible for a <br />Federal preference, the family must be counted as part <br />of the not more than 10 percent of applicants that may <br />be issued housinq vouchers before applicants who <br />qualify for a Federal preference. <br /> <br />The Grantee will notify the PHA and HUD when its Rental <br />Rehabilitation funds have been expended and remaining <br />housin9' assistanoe funding is no lonqer needed for the <br />Grantee's proqram. <br /> <br />a. <br /> <br />b. <br /> <br />Por s.o~ion 8'Ex~na C.~ca~88 <br /> <br />Onlv: <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />The PHA will not retain any fundinq for Section 8 <br />Certificates in reserve because the PHA's turnover rate is <br />adequate tèmeet anticipated needs for the Grantee's <br />proqram. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Before HUDind the PHA exec;:ute anACC for the housinq <br />assistance tundinq for Seotion 8 Certificates or Housinq <br />Vouchers !~ support of the Grantee's Proqram, the PHA shall <br />certify to HUD that the PHA and Grantee have entered into a <br />Memorandumôf Understan4inq, and ~a~ the Memorandum of <br />understandinq is consi8€erit with 1ffië 1!pHA' s HUD approved <br />Administrative and Equal 'Housinq Pla~'s.
