<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 94-03 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO <br />THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING <br />AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR SECTION 8 VOUCHERS <br />UNDER THE SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br />IN CONNECTION WITH HOMELESS PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the city of Santa Ana is <br />authorized to administer the Housing Program for the Section 8 <br />Existing Program for the united States Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development ("HUD") ¡ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housing Authority of the city of <br />Santa Ana ("Housing Authority") that section 8 Housing Vouchers <br />in connection with the Homeless Persons with Disabilities Program <br />are available which would increase the number of persons of very- <br />low-income who may be assisted in their housing within the city <br />of Santa Ana¡ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the additional section 8 Housing Vouchers are <br />consistent with our Comprehensive Housing Affordability Strategy <br />("CHAS"); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing Authority of <br />the city of Santa Ana as follows: <br /> <br />1. The submission of an application to the United States <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development for additional <br />section 8 Housing Vouchers in connection with the Homeless <br />Persons With Disabilities Program is hereby approved. <br /> <br />2. The Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the <br />City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized and directed to take all <br />necessary steps to file said application and to provide such <br />information as may be required. <br /> <br />48 <br />
