<br />,I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 94-09 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING <br />THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO <br />THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING <br />AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR ADDITIONAL HOUSING <br />CERTIFICATES UNDER THE SECTION 8 <br />HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM IN <br />CONNECTION WITH FAMILY UNIFICATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Housing Authority' of the city of Santa Ana <br />("PHA") is authorized to administer the Housing Program for the <br />section 8 Existing Program for the United States Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development ("BUD)¡ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HUD notified the PHA that section 8 Housing <br />certificates in connection with the Family Unification Program are <br />available which would increase the number of persons of low-and <br />moderate-income who may be assisted in their housing within the <br />city of Santa Ana¡ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the additional section 8 Housing Certificates are <br />consistent with our Comprehensive Housing Affordability Strategy <br />("CHAS"); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing Authority of the <br />City of Santa Ana as follows: <br /> <br />1. The submission of an application to the United States <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development for ten additional <br />section 8 Certificates in connection with the FAmily Unification <br />Program is hereby approved. <br /> <br />2. The Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the <br />city of Santa Ana is hereby authorized and directed to take all <br />n~cessary steps to file said application and to provide such <br />~nformation as may be required. <br />
