MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />February 2, 1976 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:05 P.M. in the Council <br />Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, by Mayor John Garthe, with <br />the following Council members present: Gordon Bricken, David <br />F. Ortiz, Harry K. Yamamoto, Vernon S. Evans, David L. Brandt, <br />~ames E. Ward, and Mayor John Garthe. Also present were <br />City Manager Bruce C. Spragg, City Attorney Keith L. Cow, <br />Director of Public Works Ronald Wolford, Director of Planning <br />Charles C. Zimmerman, Police Captain Charles Thayer, and <br />Clerk of the Council Florence I. Malone. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />John Garthe. <br /> <br />Following the Pledge <br />of Allegiance to the <br />Flag, the Invocation <br />was given by Mayor <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR The following items <br />ITEI~ REMOVED & were removed from <br />DISSENTING VOTES the Consent Calendar: <br /> Item 5 C requested <br />by Councilman Yamamoto; Item 15 requested by Councilman <br />Bricken; and Item 3 D requested by Mayor Garthe in response <br />to a request from the audience. The following Councilmen <br />registered NO votes: Councilman Ward on 3 B; Councilman <br />Evans on 14; Councilman Yamamoto on 4 D, 4 F and 4 H. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR On the unanimously <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS carried (7:0) motion <br />APPROVED of Councilman Bricken, <br /> seconded by Council- <br />man Yamamoto, Council affirmed the recommended action on <br />the following Consent Calendar Items: <br /> <br />MINUTES Approved the Minutes <br /> of the Special Meeting <br /> of January 14, 1976, <br />and the Adjourned Regular and Regular Meetings of <br />January 19, 1976. <br /> <br />BID CALLS <br /> <br />ment for bids on the <br /> <br /> Approved plans and <br /> specifications, and <br /> authorized advertise- <br />following: <br /> <br />PROJECT 6105 - Slurry seal and color coat <br />courts in Madison, Adams and Morrison Parks. <br /> <br />PROJECT 6106 Construct security lighting <br />systems in Grant Park and in park maintenance <br />area in Centennial Park. <br /> <br />PROJECT 6107 - Construction of concrete side- <br />walk in Grant Park. <br /> <br />PROJECT 6115 Install block wall partitions <br />in restrooms at Alona, Adams, Jerome, Madison, <br />Memorial and Windsor Parks. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> <br />45 <br /> <br />FEBRUARY 2, 1976 <br /> <br /> <br />
