Patterson at 2:05 P. M., in <br />the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana. The follow- <br />ing members of the Authority responded to the roll call: <br /> <br />Ray Villa <br />Wade Herrin <br />Lorin Griset <br /> <br />Harry K. Yamamoto <br />Jerry M. Patterson <br /> <br />Commissioner Vernon S. Evans arrived at 2:10 P. M. <br />persons were also present: <br /> <br />The following <br /> <br />Bruce Spragg, Secretary Pro Tem <br />James A. Withers, Attorney for the Authority <br />Florence 1. Malone, Recording Secretary <br />Joe Cordero, Reporter for the "Register" <br /> <br />The full reading of the <br />Minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting of February 20, 1973, was waived and the Minutes were <br />unanimously approved as mailed on motion of Commissioner Herrin, <br />seconded by Commissioner Yamamoto. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />The Secretary requested <br />Manuel Rede to orally <br />report on the status <br />of the program. Mr. Rede, Assistant to the City Manager for <br />Community Relations, stated that the Federal Department of Housing <br />and Urban Development had advised that a check amounting to approx- <br />imately $30,000.00 is in the mail for deposit in the bank designated <br />by the Authority to cover the Program expenses for the next three <br />months and that amount represents the first payment to be received. <br /> <br />REPORT OF SECRETARY <br />PRO TEM <br /> <br />Commissioner Yamamoto inquired as to what assurances there were <br />that additional quarters funding would be forthcoming. Mr. Rede <br />responded that it is expected the funds will be picked up in a special <br />revenue sharing fund under community development. <br /> <br />Mr. Rede further stated that 16 months' leases were being proposed to <br />prospective landlords and that the necessary funds have been allocated <br />by HUD for the Program. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER'S ARRIVAL <br /> <br />Commissioner Evans arrived <br />at 2:10P.M., and took his <br />place on the platform. <br />
