Patterson at 4:10 P.M., in <br />the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana in accordance <br />with Authority By-Laws. The members of the Authority responded to <br />the roll call a s follows: <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Absent <br /> <br />John Garthe <br />Harry K. Yamamoto <br />Jerry M. Patterson <br />Vernon S. Evans <br />James E. Ward <br />Lorin Griset <br /> <br />J. Ogden Markel <br /> <br />The following persons were also present: <br /> <br />Bruce C. Spragg, Secretary Pro Tern <br />James A. Withers, Attorney for the Authority <br />Manuel Red.;", Assistant to the City Manager for <br />Florence I. Malone, Recording Secretary <br />Representatives of the Press <br /> <br />Community Relations <br /> <br />The Secretary <br />distributed copies <br />of a letter from <br />the Housing Coalition of Orange County, dated June 25, 1973, enclosing a <br />copy of a Resolution to the Orange County Board of Supervisors recommend- <br />ing that the Board send a request to the President of the United States <br />asking an immediate end tb the moratorium on federally funded housing <br />assistance programs. <br /> <br />REPORT OF SECRETARY <br />PRO TEM <br /> <br />The letter, written by the Housing Coalition Chairman, Mrs. Josephine <br />Caines, requested that the Authority support this request before the Board <br />of Supervisors at its meeting on July 10. <br /> <br />Commissioner Yamamoto's Jnotion, seconded by Commissioner Ward, to <br />endorse the request for the end of the moratorium and to also request <br />continuation of refinement and improvement of the housing programs was <br />unanimously carried. <br /> <br />The status report of the Section 23 Housing Program, dated June 20, was <br />received and filed by common consent. <br /> <br />The Authority <br />affirmed the continuation <br />of its present officers, <br />Chairman Jerry M. Patterson and Vice Chairman Vernon S. Evans, on the <br />unanimously approved motion of Commissioner Griset, seconded by Com- <br />missioner Ward. <br /> <br />AFFIRMATION OF PRESENT <br />OFFICERS <br />
