Patterson, <br />in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana. The <br />members of the Authority responded to the roll call as follows: <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Absent <br /> <br />John Garthe <br />Harry K. Yamamoto <br />Vernon S. Evans <br />James E. Ward <br />Lorin Griset <br />Jerry M. Patterson <br /> <br />J. Ogden Markel <br /> <br />The following persons were also present: <br /> <br />Manuel Rede, Executive Director-Secretary <br />James A. Withers, Attorney for the Authority <br />Bruce C. Spragg, City Manager <br />Florence 1. Malone, Recording Secretary <br />Representatives of the Press <br /> <br />The full reading of the <br />Minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting of May 21, 1973 and the Adjourned Regular Meeting of June 18. <br />1973 was waived and the Minutes were unanimously approved as mailed <br />on motion of Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner Evans, <br />subject to the following correction on page 1 of the Minutes of May 21, <br />in the paragraph entitled, "Minute s" . <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Delete "Commissioner Griset" as the second to the motion <br />approving the Minutes and substitute "Commissioner Garthe". <br /> <br />A letter dated June 29, <br />1973 from Paul R. Kaup, <br />Director of the Housing Management Division of the Department of Housing <br />and Urban Development Area office in Los Angeles, was received and filed <br />on the unanimously approved motion of Commissioner Griset, seconded by <br />Commis sioner Evans. The letter notified the Authority of the approval of <br />additional Operating Subsidy Funds in the total amount of $59,250.00. <br /> <br />COMMUNICA TIONS <br /> <br />The Secretary reported <br />that since his previous <br />status report filed with the Authority on June 16, the staff had placed an <br />additional 13 familie s in leased housing, for a total of 23; that the re are <br />a total of 312 applications now in process of which 162 are eligible and 30 <br />are not, with 120 still pending. <br /> <br />REPOR T OF SECRET AR Y <br />
