Yamamoto, <br />in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana. Malone, Recording Secretary <br />Representatives of the Press <br /> <br />The full reading of the <br />Minutes of the August 19, <br />1974 meeting was waived <br />and they were approved as mailed, on the unanimously carried (5-0) <br />motion of Commissioner Evans, seconded by Commissioner Ward. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />Nothing to report. <br /> <br />The Executive Director re- <br />ported that 99 units were <br />occupied, and staff is <br />presently looking for one other unit to bring Housing up to the <br />full complement of lOO. He added that the housing application for <br />500 units, 200 of which are for the elderly, has been delivered to <br />HUD; that a recent telephone survey of 2,000 persons, conducted by <br />staff, indicated that of 200 renters contacted, SO percent were <br />eligible for the present low-income housing program; that of the <br />SO percent, approximately 67 percent were eligible for the Lease <br />and Place Program; and that 75 percent would be eligible for low- <br />income housing under the new Section 23 Program. <br /> <br />Mr. Rede also reported that he was monitoring information regarding <br />the new Community Development Act of 1974, and would submit appli- <br />cation for housing funds at the proper time. <br /> <br />REPORT OF DIRECTOR <br /> <br />Commissioner Patterson's motion to receive and file the report, <br />seconded by Commissioner Garthe, was unanimously carried. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF COMMITTEES <br /> <br />Nothing to report. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Nothing to report. <br />
