<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />October l4, 1974 <br /> <br />The Regular Meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of <br />Santa Ana was called to order at 2:l2 P.M., by Chairman Harry <br />K. Yamamoto, in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, <br />Santa Ana. Malone, Recording Secretary <br />Representatives of the Press <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />The full reading of the <br />Minutes of September l6, <br />1974 meeting was waived <br />and they were approved as mailed, on the unanimously carried <br />(7-0) motion of Commissioner Evans, seconded by Commissioner <br />Garthe. <br /> <br />BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br />REPORT OF DIRECTOR <br /> <br />Nothing to report. <br /> <br />The Executive Director <br />submitted a letter from <br />James T. Lynn, Secretary <br />of Housing and Urban Development, inviting local officials to <br />attend a two-day conference in San Francisco, commencing <br />October 23, for a briefing on the Housing and Community Develop- <br />ment Act of 1974. The motion to authorize up to two staff <br />members, and any Commissioners who can, to attend, was made by <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Patterson, seconded by Commissioner Evans <br />and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />The Status Report, Section 23 Leased Housing Program dated Octo- <br />ber 7, 1974, and the trial balance for September 1974 were <br />received and filed on motion of Commissioner Ward, seconded by <br />Commissioner Patterson and unanimously carried. <br /> <br />In response to a question by Commissioner Evans, the Director <br />described the process applied to collect delinquent accounts. <br />He stated that last year, the Authority had to write off $300 <br />or $400 as uncollectable; and that HUD allocation funds are <br />used for this purpose. <br />
