<br />I~ <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />July 21, 1975 <br /> <br />The Annual Meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of <br />Santa Ana was called to order at 2:15 P.M., by Chairman Harry <br />K. Yamamoto, in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, <br />Santa Ana. The following members of the Authority responded <br />to the roll call: <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Absent <br /> <br />David F. Ortiz <br />John Garthe <br />Vernon S. Evans <br />David L. Brandt <br />James E. Ward <br />Harry K. Yamamoto, <br /> <br />Go rdon Bricken <br /> <br />Chai rman <br /> <br />The following persons were also present: <br /> <br />Manuel Rede, Executive Director-Secretary <br />Keith L. Gow, City Attorney <br />Bruce C. Spragg, City Manager <br />Florence I. Malone, Recording Secretary <br />Representatives of the Press <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />The full reading of <br />the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting of <br />approved as mailed, on <br />Commissioner Ortiz, <br /> <br />June 16, 1975, was waived and they were <br />the unanimously carried (6-0) motion of <br />seconded by Commissioner Ward. <br /> <br />BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br />REPORT OF DIRECTOR <br /> <br />Nothing to report. <br /> <br />The Status Report, <br />of the Director, <br />dated July 10,1975, <br />for the Housing Authority Programs was received and Mr. Rede <br />orally reported tha t the number of occupied Section 23 leased <br />housing units is 95; that 70 certificates have been issued under <br />the revised Section 23 Program with a total of 24 tenants placed <br />in housing units by August 1; that the new construction program <br />is progressing with a meeting scheduled for July 23 to allow the <br />developer, Mr. Charles Peters, to present his financial plans for <br />the Senior Citizens Housing Project to members of the management <br />team; and that he has received word the City's Section 8 appli- <br />cation has been approved by the Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development for 150 units of existing housing in the amount of <br />$361,740 for administrative and housing subsidy. <br /> <br />It was moved by Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner Garthe <br />and unanimously carried to receive and file the trial balance for <br />the period ending June 30,1975, for the Revised Section 23 Housing <br />Assistance Payments Program and to receive and file the Post-Closing <br />Balance for the period ending June 30, 1975, for the Housing <br />Authority. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF COMMITTEES <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Nothing to report. <br /> <br />No thing to report. <br />
