Yamamoto, in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, <br />Santa Ana. Malone, Recording Secretary <br />Representatives of the Press <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />The full reading of <br />the Minutes of the <br />Annual Meeting of <br />approved as mailed, on <br />Commissioner Evans, <br /> <br />July 21, 1975, was waived and they were <br />the unanimously carried (5-0) motion of <br />seconded by Commissioner Garthe. <br /> <br />A letter dated July <br />31, 1975, from the <br />Housing Authority of <br />the County of San Joaquin regarding HUD re-evaluation of low <br />fair market rents was received and filed on the unanimously <br />approved (5-0) motion of Commissioner Garthe, seconded by <br />Commissioner Ward. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />FAIR MARKET RENTS <br /> <br />Resolution No.1 of the Central California and Bay Area Chapters <br />of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials <br />requesting the Department of Housing and Urban Development to <br />review and to revise upward all West Coast fair market rents was <br />discussed by the Authority. <br /> <br />The Chairman was authorized to write a letter to HUD requesting <br />a review of the fair market rents in Santa Ana with emphasis on <br />3-bedroom (or more) rentals, setting forth conservative, factual <br />information to substantiate the request, on the unanimously <br />approved (5-0) motion of Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner <br />Bricken. <br /> <br />The Status Report, of <br />the Director dated <br />August 12, 1975, for <br />the Housing Authority Program was received and Mr. Rede orally <br />reported that the Section 23 Leased Housing Program normally <br />operates at 95% occupancy; that certificates are being issued <br />under the Revised Section 23 HAP Program; and that he had been <br />working with the developer to prepare a financial package for the <br />Senior Citizens Housing Project. <br /> <br />REPORT OF DIRECTOR <br />
