<br />'-,> r . <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />.8 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />,. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY <br /> <br />- 2- <br /> <br />November 17,1975 <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Monthly Report for Section 8 Program (Existing <br />Units), indicating that as of November 1, 1975, <br />of the 150 eligibility Certificates authorized, <br />47 have been issued; and that these 47 represent <br />the "Very -low income" classification established <br />by HUD; and that seven families have obtained <br />housing under the Program. <br /> <br />Section 8 Annual Contribution Contract (ACC) <br />issued by the Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development (HUD), executed October 7, 1975. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />The Directors Report on the 200 Additional Senior Citizen Housing <br />Units (new construction) available to the Santa Ana Housing <br />Authority was received and filed and staff was directed to <br />continue discussions with HUD to obtain more information about <br />additional (new construction) housing units that may be available <br />for Santa Ana, on the unanimously approved motion of Commissioner <br />Evans, seconded by Commissioner Garthe, <br /> <br />Prior to the Commission action, Mr. Peter Grams stated that the <br />200 additional units are available to the City by virtue of the <br />ballot measure approved on November 5, 1974 which authorized <br />the City to construct and own senior citizens housing; that <br />senior citizens would be eligible for $763,000 annually in <br />housing subsidy assistance, owned and operated by the Housing <br />Authority and probably built under contract to the lowest <br />responsible bidder; and that the 200 units could be dispersed <br />throughout the City if that proved to be economically feasible. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF COMMITTEES <br /> <br />Nothing to report. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Nothing to report. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Nothing to report. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT The meeting was <br />adjourned at 3:13 P.M., <br />on the unanimously <br />approved motion of Commissioner Evans, seconded by Commissioner <br />Garthe. <br /> <br />~./~ <br />(-~ / v;é, ~ <br />/¡ RRY " Y MOTO ',.' <br />CHAI R N > / <br /> <br />~A-Ll.- "" ~.
