<br />MINUTES <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY <br /> <br />- 2- <br /> <br />June 7, 1976 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Executive Director described the problems the City would <br />face if sub-standard housing in the community were brought into <br />the program with respect to inspection and rehabilitation. <br /> <br />Councilman Ward responded that the City's housing program is on <br />a volunteer basis and that sub-standard housing could be avoided. <br />Mr. Rede replied that it was conceivable that some sub-standard <br />units could be brought into the program if the City applied for <br />additional units. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner Garthe, <br />and carried unanimously (5-0) the Authority waived full reading <br />and titles of Res 01 ution No. 76- 4 and Resolution No. 76- 5. <br /> <br />The Executive Director explained to the Authority that none of <br />the 988 units applied for by the Orange County Housing Authority <br />would be placed in Santa Ana, but in other cities in Orange County, <br />and in the unincorporated areas of the County. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AUTHORIZING AND <br />DIRECTING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO TAKE ALL NECESSARY STEPS <br />TO FILE FOR ADDITIONAL HOUSING UNITS UNDER THE "SECTION 8 HOUSING <br />ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR EXISTING HOUSING", AND DIRECTING AND <br />DESIGNATING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AS THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA TO ACT IN CONNECTION WITH THE AFORESAID APPLICATION <br />AND TO PROVIDE SUCH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AS MAY BE REQUIRED <br />BY THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT, <br />was not acted upon. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-4 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 76-5 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF SECTION 23 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS CONTRACT FOR <br />PROJECT NO.
