Yamamoto, in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, <br />Santa Ana. The following members of the Authority responded to <br />the roll call: <br /> <br />Presen t <br />David Brandt <br />Gordon Bricken <br />David Ortiz <br />John Garthe <br />Vernon S. Evans <br />James E. Ward <br />Harry K. Yamamoto, <br /> <br />Absent <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Chai rman <br /> <br />The following persons were also present: <br /> <br />Manuel Rede, Executive Director-Secretary <br />Keith L. Gow, City Attorney <br />Bruce C. Spragg, City Manager <br />Florence I. Malone, Recording Secretary <br />Representative of the Press <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />The full reading <br />of the Minutes of <br />June 21,1976, was <br />were approved as mailed, on motion of Commissioner <br />by Commissioner Ward, and unanimously carried (7-0). <br /> <br />waived and they <br />Evans, seconded <br /> <br />A letter dated June <br />29,1976 from the <br />Department of Housing <br />and Urban Development <br />thanking Mr. Rede and his staff for the cooperation and assistance <br />given to the Section 8 study team, was received and filed on <br />motion of Commissioner Evans, seconded by Commissioner Ward and <br />unanimously carried (7-0). <br /> <br />BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />REPORT OF DIRECTOR On motion of Com- <br />missioner Evans, <br />seconded by Commissioner <br />Ward, and carried (7-0) the following documents were received and <br />filed: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The Monthly Report for the Section 23 - Leased <br />Housing (Existing Units), indicating that 72 <br />of the 90 authorized units were under lease as <br />of July 1, 1976. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The Monthly Report for the Revised Section 23 <br />Housing Assistance Payments Program (HAP), <br />indicating that 48 of the 50 units authorized <br />by HUD are under lease and occupied by tenants <br />as of July 1, 1976. <br />
