Ortiz in the City Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, <br />Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Present <br /> <br />Absent <br /> <br />Gordon Bricken <br />Harry K. Yamamoto <br />Vernon S. Malone, Recording Secretary <br />Representative of the Press <br /> <br />The full reading of <br />the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting of <br />January 24, 1978 <br />and the Special Meeting of February 21, 1978 was waived and they <br />were approved as mailed on the unanimously carried 7:0 motion of <br />Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner Brandt. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />The monthly report <br />for the Section 8 <br />Rental Assistance <br />Payments Program, <br />dated February .21, <br />1978, indicating that 368 of the 470 units authorized by the <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development CHUD) were under <br />lease as of February 1, 1978, was received and filed on the <br />unanimously carried 7:0 motion of Commissioner Evans, seconded <br />by Commissioner Garthe. <br /> <br />REPORT OF SECRETARY <br />SECTION 8 RENTAL ASSISTANCE <br />PAYMENTS PROGRAM <br />RECEIVED AND FILED <br /> <br />The Quarterly report <br />for the Santa Ana <br />Towers CSenior Citizen <br />High Rise) dated <br />February 22, 1978 <br />was received and filed on the unanimously carried 7:0 motion of <br />Commissioner Evans, seconded by Commissioner Garthe. The report, <br />dated February 22, 1978, prepared by Robert Sutton, covers the <br />period from November 1, 1977 through January 31, 1978. <br /> <br />QUARTERLY REPORT - <br />SANTA ANA TOWERS <br />CSENIOR CITIZEN HIGH RISE) <br />RECEIVED AND FILED <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton stated that initial occupancy of the Santa Ana Towers <br />was in late October and November, 1977; that as of February 15, <br />1978, 197 of the 199 units were leased and occupied; that the <br />average tenant currently pays $55 per month rent and the Housing <br />Authority average monthly payment is $303 per unit; that the $358 <br />total includes all utility cost excluding telephone service. <br />
