Rice, Assistant Recording Secretary <br />A representative of the Press <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />The full reading of <br />the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting of <br />November 22, and the <br />Regular Meeting of November 29, 1977 was waived, and <br />approved as mailed, on the unanimously carried 5:0 <br />Commissioner Bricken, seconded by Commissioner Brandt. <br /> <br />--- <br /> <br />Adjourned <br />they were <br />motion of <br /> <br />BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />Nothing to report. <br /> <br />The monthly report for <br />the Section 8 Rental <br />Assistance Payments <br />Program, dated December <br />20, 1977, indicating <br />that 336 of the 470 units authorized by the Department of Housing <br />and Urban Development (HUD) were under lease as of December 1, <br />1977, was received and filed on the unanimously carried 5:0 motion <br />of Commissioner Brandt, seconded by Commissioner Ward. <br /> <br />REPORT OF SECRETARY <br />SECTION 8 RENTAL ASSISTANCE <br />PAYMENTS PROGRAM <br />RECEIVED AND FILED <br /> <br />Commissioner Brandt's <br />motion to receive and <br />file the Cooperative <br />Agreement for the <br />After-Care Housing <br />Program (Section 8 Housing Assistance for Handicapped Adults) <br />as drafted by the Orange County Housing Authority, and decline <br />participation; to approve a limited and indirect participation <br />for Santa Ana residents in the County Program; and to authorize <br />the Chairman to forward a letter of this intent to the Orange <br />County Housing Authority; was seconded by Commissioner Ward. <br />Following discussion the motion was amended by maker, with the <br />consent of the second, to substitute "Not Approve" for "Receive <br />and File", and to include Commissioner Ward's suggestion that <br />the Chairman be authorized to send a letter to legislators ex- <br />pressing the Agency's objections to the Program.
