ORAL COMMUNICATION On the motion of Council- <br />J. OGDEN MARKEL man Ward, seconded by <br />REFERRED -Councilman Yamamoto, <br /> and carried 5:0 unanimously, <br />the request of J. Ogden Markel, 1814 South Patton, for informa- <br />tion concerning a variance approved for a dental laboratory at <br />620 West Edinger was referred to Staff for an answer. <br /> CA 151 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Manuel Barron, 5415 West <br />BIANUEL BARRON ILLEGAL ALIENS Ballast, Human Relations <br />HRC INSTRUCTED Commissioner, asked <br /> what Council had decided <br />regarding the illegal alien question presented by the Human <br />Relations Commission Chairman. <br /> <br />Councilmen repeated their comments given at the dinner meeting, <br />and encouraged the Human Relations Commission to hold hearings <br />and advise Council of its recommendations. <br /> <br />On the motion of Councilman Bricken, seconded by Councilman <br />Brandt, and carried (5:0) unanimously, the Human Relations <br />Commission was requested tO hold a meeting with the cooperation <br />of Staff and the Police Department for the purpose of hearing <br />testimony on possible guidelines for the implementation of the <br />alien enforcement policy; the Commission is also instructed to <br />present a progress report to Council at its meeting of July 6, <br />1976.
