Rego, owners. <br /> <br />COUNCIL REFERRAL SUB{MARY <br />Staff by Council. <br /> <br />Received and filed <br />status report of <br />matters referred to <br /> <br />PROCLAMATIONS <br /> <br />Mayor from June 1 to June <br /> <br />Received and filed <br />report of Proclama- <br />tions issued by the <br />IS, 1976. <br /> <br />CA 29.8 <br /> <br />CA 46 <br /> <br />* * * ~ * * * * CONSENT CALENDAR FINIS * ~ * * * * * * <br /> <br />CHANGE ORDER - PROJECT 8074 Council continued the <br />SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER following Change Order <br />CONTINUED to the July 6 meeting, <br /> on the unanimously <br />approved (6:0) motion of Councilman Ward, seconded by Council- <br />man Brandt: <br /> <br />PROJECT 8074 - Construct Senior Citizens Center <br />- Change Order #2 increasing the cost by $2,126 <br />to upgrade carpeting for easier maintenance and <br />greater durability. (Agenda Item #10) <br /> <br />CA 89 <br /> <br />Councilman Ward asserted, preceding the motion, that the cost <br />of most institutional carpeting is not so high ($17 per square <br />yard), and that good grades of carpeting are available for less <br />money. Assistant City Manager Wolford responded that the con- <br />tractor had secured bids, that the Purchasing and Property Con- <br />trol Officer had concurred with the recommendation, and that <br />the architect recommended acceptance of the bid. <br /> <br />During the foregoing discussion, Councilman Bricken arrived <br />at 2:20 P.M. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT Councilman Ward's <br />SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER motion to approve <br />APPROVED the following agree- <br /> ment and authorize <br />its execution by the Mayor and Clerk was seconded by <br />Councilman Yamamoto, and unanimously carried (6:0): <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO COUNTY REVENUE SHARING FOR <br />SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER - Between City <br />and County to provide for a six-month <br />(July 1, 1976 to December 31, 1976) ex- <br />tension of expenditure of funds for the <br />County grant. (Agenda Item #12 D) <br /> <br />A-76-53 <br /> <br />Prior to the motion, Councilman Ward commented with regard <br />to Exhibit C of the agreement, the proposed special trans- <br />portation program, that he does not want the City to get <br />into bus operations.
