CA 52 <br /> <br />CAPITAL IMPROVBNtENTS PROGRAld The Ten-year Capital <br />ANNUAL REVIEW Improvements Program <br />FILED submitted by the Santa <br /> Aha Planning Commis- <br />sion July 15, 1976, pursuant to Section 910(c) of the Charter, <br />for annual-review, was received and filed on the unanimously <br />approved (4:0) motion of Councilman Bricken, seconded by <br />Councilman Ortiz. CA 65A <br /> <br />REQUEST FOR ANNEXATION The request of six <br />REFERRED property owners received <br /> July 27, 1976, for <br /> annexation of a triangu- <br />lar area of the County located east of Harbor Boulevard, <br />west of the Santa Ana River and south of the City limits of <br />Fountain Valley, was referred to Staff for report and recom- <br />mendation, on the motion of Councilman Ortiz, seconded by <br />Councilman Bricken and carried (4:0) unanimously; the motion <br />also authorized the City Attorney to make a presentation to <br />the City Council of Fountain Valley regarding the matter, if <br />it is found to be legally advisable or necessary. <br /> <br />The following persons appeared to explain why they would like <br />to be a part of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br />Albert B. Boggs, 12042 Edinger Avenue <br />R'ichard P. Matthews, 12132 Edinger Avenue <br />Edward J. Uranich, 16452 South Harbor Boulevard <br />Beverly A. Wilson, 12187 Edinger Avenue <br /> <br />The property owners stated that there are about 150 people liv- <br />ing in the 90-acre area of the County; that they would prefer <br />to be in Santa Aha rather than Fountain Valley; that they have <br />their own water and sewer facilities; that the present zoning <br />is R2 and they would prefer to keep that zoning; and they would <br />appreciate the City Council's consideration of their request <br />for annexation. <br /> <br />Councilman Bricken asked that Staff determine whether or not it <br />would be in the City's interest to attend a prezoning hearing <br />called by the-City of Fountain Valley for August 5, 1976, for <br />property adjacent to the subject property. CA 94 <br /> <br />LEAGUE OF CITIES A request by the <br />RESOLUTIONS RECOMMENDATIONS Orange County Division <br />POSITIONS TAKEN of the League of <br /> California Cities <br />dated July 21, 1976, requesting the member cities to take <br />positions on 14 resolutions submitted by the Division's <br />Resolutions Committee was responded to as follows: On <br />the motion of Councilman Ortiz, seconded by Councilman <br />Bricken, the positions of support listed below were taken <br />by unanimous vote (4:0).
