<br />MINUTES <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />APRIL 6, 1987 <br /> <br />The Regular Meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana was <br />called to order at 4:18 p.m. by Chairman Young in the City Council <br />Chambers, 22 civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California. <br /> <br />PRESENT <br /> <br />j Dan Young <br />. Wilson Hart <br />Ron May <br />Miguel Pulido <br />Patricia McGuigan <br />Daniel E. Griset <br /> <br />ABSENT <br /> <br />John Acosta <br /> <br />The following staff were present: <br /> <br />David N. Ream, City Manager <br />Rex Swanson, Deputy City Manager <br />Edward J. Cooper, Authority Counsel <br />Cynthia J. Nelson, Executive Director <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br /> <br />The Minutes of the March 16, 1987 Housing Authority <br />Meeting were approved 6:0 on a Motion by Authority <br />Member McGuigan, seconded by Authority Member <br />Pulido, and carried 6:0. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Monthlv Status Report for the Section 8 Housinq Assistance <br />Proqram: FEBRUARY 1987. The Monthly Status Report was received <br />and filed on a Motion by Authority Member McGuigan, seconded by <br />Authority Member Pulido and carried 6:0. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Computerization of Section 8 Proqrams -- The Housing Authority <br />authorized the following action on a Motion by Authority Member <br />Pulido, seconded by Authority Member McGuigan and carried 6:0: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />The issuance of an RFP by the Purchasing Division for a <br />computer network system for the streamlining of the Section <br />8 operations. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />The purchase of the custom HIM & RS software program by <br />David E. Baker & Associates. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />The expenditure in a maximum amount of $80,000 from the <br />Housing Authority's operating reserves for the cost of the <br />acquisition and implementation of the computer network and <br />custom software program. <br /> <br />t <br />
