SPEC. 76-056 <br />BID PROCEDURE WAIVED <br />EMERGENCY PURCHASE <br />AUTHORIZED <br /> <br />cost of $6,800, on the unanimously <br /> <br /> The formal bid procedure <br /> was waived and emergency <br /> purchase of a new pump <br /> for Well No. 24 was <br /> authorized, at an estimated <br />approved motion (5:0) of <br /> <br />Councilman Brandt, seconded by Councilman Yamamoto, based upon <br />a finding by Council that the purchase was of urgent necessity <br />for the preservation of life and health in accordance with Charter <br />Section 421. <br /> CA 89 <br /> <br />RECESS At 5:05 p.m. the Council <br /> meeting was recessed to <br /> convene the Community <br /> Redevelopment Agency; <br />at 5:30 p.m. the Housing Authority meeting was held and at <br />5:32 p.m. the Special Meeting of the Board of Parking Com- <br />missioners was convened at 5:36 p.m. The City Council meeting <br />was reconvened at 5:45 p.m. Councilman Bricken left the <br />Chambers at 5:30 p.m. following the meeting of the Community <br />Redevelopment Agency. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />SALE OF PROPERTY ACQUIRED <br />FROM THE REDEVELOPMENT FUND <br />OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />Mayor Garthe announced <br />that this was the time and <br />place for the public hearing <br />by the City Council on the <br />proposed sale of the 14 acre <br />housing site by the <br />Redevelopment Agency to Santa Ana Senior Citizen Apartments, <br />a Limited Partnership. <br /> <br />In his oral report, the Redevelopment Director, Richard Goblirsch, <br />stated that negotiations for the proposed sale had not been <br />concluded and he would recommend that the public hearing be <br />continued to December 6, 1976, at 2:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Garthe asked if there were any speakers in the audience <br />to address the Council on this matter. There being none, the <br />Mayor stated that a motion to continue would be in order. <br />Councilman Yamamoto's motion, seconded by Councilman Brandt, <br />to continue the public hearing to December 6, 1976 at 2:00 p.m. <br />was unanimously 4:0 carried. <br /> CA 137.8 <br /> <br />RECESS <br />COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br /> <br />Agency; the meeting was reconvened at <br /> <br />At 5:35 p.m. Mayor Garthe <br />recessed the Council meeting <br />for the regular agenda of <br />the Community Redevelopment <br />5:45 p.m. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />ITEMS REMOVED <br /> <br />by Mayor Garthe. <br /> <br />The following items <br />were removed from the <br />Consent Calendar: <br />Items 3 A, B requested <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 440 NOVEMBER 23, 1976 <br /> <br /> <br />
