<br />Mayor Garthe announced
<br />that this was the time
<br />and place-for the
<br />public hearing of the
<br />Sharing Funds for the
<br />30, 1977.
<br />
<br />City Manager Bruce Spragg stated t~at it is anticipated that
<br />the City will receive $500,000 for the remainder of the fiscal
<br />year; that the projects listed for budgeting were approved
<br />and prioritized by the Council following a public hearing
<br />on January 3, 1977.
<br />
<br />There was one speaker, Patricia McGuigan, S642 Keelson, who
<br />spoke in favor of funding-the West BranehiLibrary.
<br />
<br />There being no further speakers, Mayor Garthe closed the public
<br />hearing.
<br />
<br />On the motion of Councilman Bricken, seconded by Councilman
<br />Ward, and carried 6:1, with Mayor Garthe dissenting, Council
<br />approved an amendment to the main motion that any expenditure
<br />for the thirteen budgeted items causing the total to exceed
<br />$500,000 must be returned to the Council for approval. The
<br />main motion made by Councilman Ward, seconded by Councilman
<br />Bricken, carried 6:1, with Councilman Yamamoto dissenting,
<br />approved the following General Revenue Sharing as an amendment
<br />to the City's Annual Budget for 1976-77:
