CA 13.la <br /> <br />DRINKING DRIVER TEAM On the motion of Council- <br />TEMPORARY TYPIST CLERK man Brandt, seconded by <br />APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT 157 APPROVED Councilman Evans, and <br /> carried 6:1, with Council- <br />man Bricken dissenting, Appropriation Adjustment #157 transfer- <br />ring $6,115 from the Drinking Driver Team Grant Fund to accounts <br />to provide for a temporary typist clerk for the Office of Traffic <br />Safety Grant for March 1 through September 30, 1977 was approved. <br /> CA 65.3 <br /> <br />DEMOLITION OF PLATFORMS AT On the motion of Council- <br />MUNICIPAL STADIUM - PROJECT 6125 man Brandt, seconded by <br />APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENT 161 APPROVED Councilman Ortiz, and <br /> carried 5:2, with Council- <br />men Ward and Evans dissenting, Council took the following action: <br /> <br />1) Approved plans and specifications for the demolition of <br /> cheerleader platforms at Municipal Stadium; <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Waived the formal bidding procedure and authorized the <br />Purchasing Officer to secure informal bids upon a find- <br />ing of fact that the work is of urgent necessity for <br />the preservation of life and health because the plat- <br />forms represent a serious hazard to soccer players on <br />the field; <br /> <br />3) Authorized the emergency award of bid to the lowest <br /> bidder approved by the Director of Public Works; and <br /> <br />Approved Appropriation Adjustment #161 to transfer <br />$7,000 from Council Contingency to the Stadium account <br />for the proposed demolition.
