MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />May 2, 1977 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 2:00 P.M. in the City <br />Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, by Vice Mayor <br />James E. Ward. The following Council members were present: <br />Harry K. Yamamoto, David L. Brandt, John Garthe, and Vice <br />Mayor Ward. Mayor Vernon S. Evans and Councilman Gordon <br />Bricken were absent. Councilman David Ortiz arrived follow- <br />ing approval of Consent Calendar recommendations. Also <br />present were the following members of Staff: City Manager <br />Bruce C. Spragg, City Attorney Keith L. Gow, Assistant <br />City Manager Ronald Wolford, Director of Public Works <br />John E. Stevens, Planning Director Charles C. Zimmerman, <br />and Clerk of the Council Florence I. Malone. <br /> <br />INVOCATION <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />man Harry K. Yamamoto. <br /> <br />Following the Pledge <br />of Allegiance to the <br />Flag, the Invocation <br />was given by Council- <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />ITEMS REMOVED <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Ward. <br /> <br />Councilman Yamamoto <br />removed Item 4 B from <br />the Consent Calendar; <br />Item 2 was removed by <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR On the unanimously <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS carried 4:0 motion of <br />APPROVED Councilman Garthe, <br /> seconded by Councilman <br />Brandt, Council approved the recommendations of Staff on the <br />following Consent Calendar items: <br /> <br />MINUTES <br /> <br />Meeting of April <br /> <br />12, 1977. <br /> <br />Approved the Minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting of April 4, <br />and the Adjourned Regular <br /> <br />BID AWARD <br /> <br />Awarded the following on <br />basis of lowest responsible <br />and best bidder: <br /> <br />PROJECT 811lA - Modification of Police Building air <br />and exhaust system; awarded to Southland Heating & <br />Air Conditioning, Inc., Long Beach, in the total <br />amount of $4,844.00.
