ORDINANCE NO. NS-1363 - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />APPROVING AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 761 TO REZONE PROPERTY <br />LOCATED BETWEEN ALTON AVENUE AND MACARTHUR BOULEVARD, BEAR <br />STREET AND ORANGE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL CHANNEL FROM THE R2-PRD <br />DISTRICT TO THE SD (SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT) DISTRICT, AMENDING <br />SECTIONAL DISTRICT MAP 26-5-10, AND ADOPTING SPECIFIC DEVELOP- <br />MENT PLAN#5, as amended, was placed on first reading on the <br />unanimously carried 6:0 motion of Councilman Brandt, seconded <br />by Councilman Garthe. CA 10 <br /> CA 78.10 <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - AMENDMENT Vice Mayor Ward announced <br />APPLICATION NO. 762 - SPECIFIC that this was the time and <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN #6 - APPROVED place for the public hearing <br />ORDINANCE NS-1364 FIRS~f--~G of Amendment Application <br /> No. 762 and Specific <br />Development Plan #6 to rezone property located generally between <br />MacArthur Boulevard and Sunflower Avenue, Greenville and Raitt <br />Streets from the R1-PRD District to the SD (Specific Development) <br />District. <br /> <br />Senior Planner William Daugherty referred to the Planning Commis- <br />sion report dated April 19, 1977 and stated that the subject <br />property comprises two parcels totaling 16.7 acres; that the <br />property presently is zoned R1-PRD with a General Plan designa- <br />tion of Low Density Residential; that the proposed plan would <br />allow a maximum of 300 dwellings or 18 dwellings per acre; <br />that the seven-acre site at the northwest corner of Sunflower <br />and Raitt Street is planned as a tennis center; and that <br />the Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval <br />of the zone change following a public hearing held on March 14, <br />1977. <br /> <br />George Kurilko added that there is a school/park site on the <br />corner of MacArthur and Raitt Street. <br /> <br />City Attorney Keith Gow announced that the ordinance as presented <br />to Council would require some minor corrections. <br /> <br />There were no written communications and no further speakers; <br />Vice Mayor Ward closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO.
