ORAL COMMUNICATION Following Councilman <br />TRAFFIC AT 4TH STREET & Bricken's comments <br />NBWPORT FREEWAY regarding the traffic <br /> congestion at Fourth <br />Street and the Newport Freeway, Assistant City Manager Ronald <br />Wolford reported that plans are underway to improve the inter- <br />section and construction should begin in the near future. <br /> CA 18.3 <br /> <br />ORAL COMMUNICATION Councilman Bricken re- <br />LOW VOTER TURNOUT ferred to an article in <br /> the May 15 Orange County <br /> Section of the "Los <br />Angeles Times" newspaper and recommended that the City make an <br />effort to improve communication with the citizens to encourage <br />more interest; and that perhaps a quarterly newsletter would <br />provide the means to let people know about the City and its <br />programs.
